İlk olarak kitabım yazım stilini ve dilini beğendiğimi söylemek istiyorum. Verilen örnekler, yapılan özetler çok güzel olmuş.

 

Beğenmediğim noktaysa PHP’yi 2. sınıf bir programlama dili olarak göstermesi olmuş. Şunu unutmamak lazım ki .NET dünyası MVC denen teknolojiyle daha yeni tanışıyor ve halen bu teknoloji oturmuş değil. Gerek PHP gerekse Java dünyasında yıllardan beridir mevcut. Ruby on Rails’ten bahsetmeye gerek yok. Onlar zaten almış başını gidiyorlar. Sonradan bu işe girip millete çamur atmak açıkçası kitabın ekibine yakışmamış.

 

Bu yüzden de verdiğim puanı kırıyorum. 10 üzerinden 6 veriyorum kitaba.

My Opinion :

If you are dealing with ASP.NET MVC first time this book will be very usefully for you. But if you run some codes at ASP.NET MVC before this book is an average book for you.

Dell Mini 1018 and memory upgrade issue (Solved)

At my previous post i mentioned about Dell Mini 1018 memory upgrade issue. I solved that issue. I asked dell mini forum about my issue. They told me that they are using Crucial memories. I talked to Crucial agents and they convencied me about using their memories. I gave them a shot and i ordered 2 GB ram. Yesterday evening ram arrived and i placed it to my Dell Mini 1018. It is working. If you have Dell Mini 1018 and you want to upgrade it to 2 GB ram you need to buy Crucial memories.

I bought a netbook and i bought a Kingstone memory for my netbook. I placed memory in netbook but it did not work. I got black screen. I gave it back and bought a new one. But it did not work either. I spent 2 days for finding the right memory for my netbook. I found one but it is in UK. I reached Dell Turkey distributor company and they said to me “There is a problem with Dell mini 1018 about upgrading to 2 GB memory.” I tried to downgrade to Windows XP but there is no driver for Windows XP. Now i am using it with 1 GB memory and i am not happy with this.

Yeah I bought a netbook. It is Dell. My first laptop was a Dell. That laptop was very good and still it is good. Because it is working a downloading machine now :)

My new netbook is a Dell Mini 1018. You can information at this link. It did not arrive yet.

Yeah you are right. I want to buy a netbook. But i didn’t decide yet. I will decide between three brands. Dell, Packard Bell and Casper. I think i will vote for Casper but there is nothing a certain decision yet.

I updated my PHP book. Also it has a new name. “PHP ve MySQL”. Because i added many chapters about PHP and MySQL. I believe you will like the chapters about PHP. For example you can find chapter about “namespaces”. Also i extended MySQL part. I addedd new paragraphs and chapters. I will inform you when my book “PHP ve MySQL” published. Keep in touch.
